Our client aims at redefining search, by creating a question answering engine that is able to understand users` questions and show the results directly, not pages tht contain some given keywords. Most of the time, people intrinsically don`t want to search, they want to solve their questions in the quickest most efficient manor. 

The role: Senior software engineer (Ruby on Rails)

We want top notch senior software engineers that will work in the construction of their next generation question-answering engine using the Ruby on Rails framework.

You will work in a team with very smart and talented engineers, and you will be prepared for working in a fast- pace environment that will require that you have the flexibility and ability to do many different and complex things in a very short time frame.

Minimum qualifications needed:

• At least 4 years of experience building complex systems and solving complex problems.
• BA/BS in Computer Science, MS or PhD in Computer Science is preferred
• Fluency in testing and specification frameworks like Selenium, Test::Unit, RSpec and similar
• Solid experience in the design and tuning of database models and the best way of querying these models in SQL.
• Solid experience in analyzing and scaling systems under heavy user load
• Solid experience in analyzing and troubleshooting performance problems with tools like YSlow or Firebug.

Fluent English is necessary, fluent Spanish may be a plus.
