A Global Oil and Gas Giant is looking for an experienced Automation Expert to become a part of their testing team. The Expert will be responsible for working with the project teams to continuously develop and enhance the automated test library.

This is a highly technical role requiring very considerable proven experience in Object-oriented Programming such as GUI Programming. Candidates must have an in-depth knowledge of QTP programming, VBScript and SQL languages not only on developing QTP but also on other systems, projects and applications outside QTP. In-depth experience of preferred languages such as VB.net, WMI, and Network Monitoring is also a key requirement. Candidates must also have proven experience of SAP. Knowledge of Oil and Gas would be an advantage as would some testing experience.

The successful candidate will be required to work within an existing framework approach to automation to pre-determined standards. Key accountabilities include developing, planning, building and executing test automation scripts in conjunction with the formal Test Strategy. He/She will ensure the quality of the scripts, report all test defects/incidents and ensure that they are resolved. The chosen candidate will also develop and implement automated test scripts for testing SAP and other integrated applications.

Candidates will need to be extremely disciplined, articulate and proactive in order to successfully fulfil the role.
